Missions
Outreach in the Saint Charles Area
Many in our church serve in various ministries within our community, our jobs, and with local agencies such as World Relief, Beautiful U Ministries, Lazarus House, and also by living out our faith in our neighborhoods and with those who we encounter daily.
Missions in Asia
Main Street Church supports missionaries who train other missionaries and pastors in Asia. We believe in offering resources to those who are disciple making disciples so that the mission of Jesus Christ can be expanded to the ends of the earth!
Missions in Europe
Our congregation supports missionaries engaged in church planting efforts in Europe, as well as working with prevention of human trafficking, and after school programs in Spain that offer homework helps for children who could not otherwise afford tutors.
Missions in Africa
Main Street Church partners with missionaries who train pastors, prevent human trafficking, and provide necessary hygiene and school supplies to people in villages and refugee camps.
In 2023, our church sent a team to assist with various conferences in Kenya and work on a wall for a women's training center.
In August of 2024, Pastor Kristin travelled to teach pastors working toward their ordination in Kenya and to preach at a pastors conference.
While not all are able to travel, some can share in the spread of the gospel through prayer or financial giving toward the trip expenses and projects via our donation tab.
For our end of year giving in 2024, we will be raising money to help install running water at Hope Springs Bible College in Eldoret, Kenya. The school has several buildings, but has to haul in water for cooking and wash when in session. The well is present and has good water, but the pump is broken, and pipes need to be installed to bring the water to the buildings. Please prayerfully consider giving to this important mission so that the school can continue to train more local Kenyan leaders.
Homeless and At Risk Missions
Main Street Church members work with different ministries to serve those most at risk in our community. Our church used to own the building that Lazarus house exists in downtown St. Charles, but we sold the building to them as the homeless need was rising. We continue to work to help those at need through various means, such as collecting items to help women at Naomi's House ministries and new residents who have been relocated to our area by World Relief.
Missions to Feed the Hungry
Our bread ministry at church weekly helps our own congregation, as well as offers opportunity to share with neighbors. Additionally, we support through prayer, donation, or packing with Feed My Starving Children and other food organizations.
